Carl has been training and breeding bird dogs since 1995. He started out under the training of Eldon Hongo. After six years under Eldon's training hunting and field trail dogs Carl became a professional dog trainer starting out with strictly hunting dogs in 2002. As a hunter, Carl knows what the foot hunter looks for in a Bird Dog. Finding Birds, Pointing, Easy Handle and looking good doing it. All the years of training Field Trial Dogs to compete as well as breeding to compete with his own dogs to validate his breeding program by producing winning dogs he has selected specific blood lines that will produce a very select type dog. One that has the first and most important trait, the ability to find birds. His breeding program was designed to produce dogs that can find birds and win competition Field Trials doing it. With that goal he produces dogs with natural bird finding ability, long noses, easy dogs to train and handle. They also need to be wonderful companions. And as an added bonus, these are just good looking dogs. His training and breeding program reflect all of these traits and it shows in happy customers and winning Field Trial Dogs.

In 2004 Carl started running young trial dogs in Puppy, Derby and Broke dog stakes on the local level. Starting out slow with only a few dogs allowed him to concentrate on the development of the young dogs into Finished Field Champions. He was then competing on the local, regional and National level with dogs he either trained or bred he
In 2004 Carl started running young trial dogs in Puppy, Derby and Broke dog stakes on the local level. Starting out slow with only a few dogs allowed him to concentrate on the development of the young dogs into Finished Field Champions. He was then competing on the local, regional and National level with dogs he either trained or bred here at Hunting Dog Trainer.net. Now, 20 years later he is retired from training and field trials all his time and expertise is directed towards breeding dogs for the avid hunter.
